How You Can Help
As we prepare for each Honor Flight, we reflect on our prior flights and the opportunity we’ve had since 2008 to thank and honor over 5,000 local Veterans by flying them to Washington D.C. for a one-day trip to see their memorials at no cost to them.
To continue to give back we need your help.
We have a waiting list of over 200 local World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War Veterans who deserve the same opportunity of an Honor Flight. The unfortunate reality that we face is that each flight requires significant financial resources, and over the last few years, due to the lingering effects of the pandemic and current economic challenges, we just aren’t able to continue these trips without your help.
Honor Flight - Twin Cities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates solely
on the generous donations from organizations and individuals. We don’t receive any government funding. Each flight requires significant resources to pay for the chartered flight, bus transportation, meals, wheelchair rentals, t-shirts, hats, pins, and a biography book. Guardian tax-deductible contributions help pay for a small fraction of the cost of each flight. The rest of the funding comes from organizations and individuals.
